The Kitchen Sessions is an exquisite recording. Full stop.
You should be very proud of your performance! The dialogue between voice and piano is consistently moving.Your song choice is excellent and your emotional engagement with the material, and with David, make these sessions special. David can always be relied on for superb playing but he really soars on this recording. Is there any better jazz pianist in Canada? He is number one in my books. This deserves to go on heavy rotation on Jazz FM just like it will in the Wilkinson household.
